A nanny is an individual who will take on the responsibilities of childcare for children generally between the ages of newborn to 12 years old. Their responsibilities range from getting the children up and ready for the day to doctor's appointment and bathtime. Prepare breakfast and make lunches. For non-school children arrange play dates and daily activities as well as provide constant supervision. For school age children commute back and forth. Most nannies will perform light housework involved with picking up after the children. Nannies usually work 40 - 55 hours per week.
